Christian Kinch's Brochure

Christian's brochure was very informative. it showed all the interesting things you can do at the Jacob A Riis after school program. I also liked how he put a picture of Jacob A Riis himself and explained who he was ect. The problems I had with his brochure was that the text was very hard to read because of the close comparison to the background color and the text color. Also I would have liked to seen more photos of the program and activities done with in the program. In all I think Christian did a nice job of getting his points across.

a Photoshop-InDesign Reflection

When I was working with layers I learned how to get rid of layers so I work on certain parts of an image on Indesign or a brochure.

Vanishing points help me take specific areas in an image and edit them with out accidentally ruining other parts of the image this could be very useful while making a brochure.

Learning how to use warping will help me have a more professional aspect when doing my brochure also, it will give me a more flexible way to present my clients logo ect...
This lab helped me understand text in InDesign more and showed me different ways of representing or focusing on key points in text.

Narratives.

Project 1
For the first project we had to make a collage about what is important to us, although I didn’t finish it I really enjoyed it. It refreshed my mind about the world of photoshop.

Project 2
For this project we had to make a logo, I didn’t really understand this lab for some reason and ended up making an anti-drugs ad. I had a lot of fun making this project.

Lab 1
For Lab 1 we had to go outside and take picture’s we needed a minimum of 10 photo’s we then went inside and added effects to the images.

I didn't finish my narratives.

Kevin, as a consumer.

What drive's me to buy things? the thrill I am buying something with meaning and importance to me. A great example is my xbox 360, Go halo.  I enjoy playing video games (A bit to much I'll have to say) so when I have a chance to progress in my gaming career I take it. To make a long story short if it involves games I'll buy it.

Review and Redesign of Logos

The initial goal of this logos was to let the audience know that today has something to do with the famous game franchise Pac Man (it was the 30th anniversary). I think this logo did a great job not only letting them know of the event but they also presented there company in a great way by in a way sponsoring this famous game, making it a win win situation for both. If I had the option to change this logo I honestly wouldn't but if I had to I would have some how incorporated the game in a better way like having Pac Man eat one of the ghost. The colors used in this logo was a great way of attracting attention to the middle where everything is happing.
